Johnson State College and Lyndon State College are joining together to become Northern Vermont University.
One University. Two Vibrant Campuses.
This unification, beginning July 1, 2018, brings with it expanded opportunities for students and better access to resources across both campuses. These benefits come while keeping true to our small campuses where students come first.
We will maintain and grow two active and vibrant campuses with their own cultures, facilities, student activities, and cultural events. Distinct athletic teams and mascots in the North Atlantic Conference mean we will even compete against one another!
Major on one campus and minor on the other. Through internships, students can work with organizations and businesses across northern Vermont and beyond through connections on both campuses. Johnson and Lyndon together create more than the sum of their parts.
- Expanded learning opportunities
- Larger and more diverse faculty
- More research opportunities
- Combined pool of resources focused on students and learning
Excited? So are we.
We can’t wait to start enrolling students in Northern Vermont University starting in fall 2018. In the meantime, visit our individual college websites to learn more about each campus and apply!
